- Hairbrush
- Bobby Pins/Grips
- Water Spray
- Frizz Serum (optional - I used it before I started and didn't need it the next day)
- Hair Clips
Brush and part your hair to make your life easier!
STEP 2
Split your hair from your ear upwards to your parting.
STEP 3
I'd recommend splitting this section of hair horizontally into three pieces, but if you have thinner hair then two will do just fine. Remember to spray each section you go to pin - don't forget :)
STEP 4
Take the top third (or second) and place two fingers on top of the ends. Again, optionally, you can vary the amount of fingers you use. Two fingers is the easiest to wrap with and gives a not-too-tight curl. If you want bigger curls, go for three. I wouldn't suggest using a single finger as it's hard to get your finger off of the curl without it falling apart - alternatively, you could use rags (I used this method in a previous post, go check it out)!
STEP 5
Fold the ends over those fingers and begin to roll the hair upwards, using your fingers merely as guides (don't try and roll your fingers with the curl or else you may injure yourself unnecessarily).
STEP 6
Once rolled to the top, you can either pin the curl as it is in the picture or turn it on its side (flat) and pin it like that. If you're doing this overnight then I'd suggest the second option. Also, you can use one grip or two. This post is all about preference and choices - just like life. I didn't expect to get this deep in a post about hair. Moving on...
STEP 7
Repeat this with the two curls below.
STEP 8
The next bit is tricky and again all about choices. What I do is split my remaining hair on the side I'm working on 3x3. So, three pieces across, three pieces down (so basically 9 pieces - 12 on each side).
STEP 9
Repeat for the other side of your head.
That's what it looked like for me. Did anyone else go through a phase of Twilight obsession?
STEP 10
Get some sleep!
STEP 11
Wake up, take out the grips and reveal your creation :D
In all honesty, the grips I used were too firm and left kinks in my hair which I didn't like too much but rolled with it by wearing my hair in a pony tail. I hope it works out better for you anyway and hope you learnt something. I'm a very happy bunny if you made it this far down, it means a lot to me to know that you're reading this and I hope I'm coming across as myself in these posts recently. I'm getting the feel for blogging now and I think it shows? I don't know. All I know is I'm saying hope a lot! I'll be doing more lifestyle posts at some point to change things up a bit anyway which should be nice. Let me know in the comments how this worked out for you if you tried it!
