Stumped for a simple makeup look to wear back to school? Does your school not allow makeup to be worn? Look no further, ladies! This makeup look can be adapted depending on how flexible your school is, looks great and is simple to recreate :)
Once that's done, we can get started! First up, concealer application. The concealer I used was the "Wake Me Up" concealer by Rimmel London. It's a full coverage concealer, therefore, it should be used in moderation. Now, it's no secret that teenagers tend to suffer with acne (like myself, though not severely) so a bit of concealer through the day can really boost your confidence, but don't overdo it! Take that concealer and pat it where needed (don't forget the under eyes if you suffer with circles). Now, blendy blendy blend! To blend, I used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
Next step is foundation. Only use this where needed, if at all needed. I used one full pump of the "Dream Satin Liquid Foundation" by Maybelline on the back of my hand and blended it into my skin - again - using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
Your skin should look something like this!
Something else I forgot to mention, it's always a good idea to apply lip balm to your lips before you start your makeup so that they're ready for lipstick :)
Excuse the dullness from here on out, natural light isn't something I have control of :( Next I used shade 1 of the MUA "Undressed" palette as a base all over the eyelid and along the bottom lash line. If your school is a little strict with makeup, by all means, leave the eye shadow at this stage
If you think you can get away with it, use shade 10 of the palette and apply it to the outer third of your eye, the crease of your eyelid and the outer half of your lower lash line. Blend the eye shadow outwards using a fluffy brush with windscreen wiper motions. It should look the same as my right eye above!
Repeat on the other eye and apply white eye liner to the waterline for the appearance of bigger, brighter eyes.
Now for the final step of the eyes... MASCARAEEEEEY! *-*
I applied one coat of the Maybelline "Great Lash" mascara to my upper and lower lashes, which this mascara is, as the name implies...Dare I say it...Great for!
Again, if school is an issue, you can use clear mascara.
Back to the face again! By this point, you may be looking slightly washed out if you're any paler than myself (which I to some extent doubt ;D). Time for a flush of blush! For this step, I used the Bourjois "Little Round Pot Blusher" in the shade 39 Rose Mandarin. Subtlety is key for school. I lightly applied this product to the apples of my cheeks with the Real Techniques Contour Brush (which it obviously isn't intended for, but it works just as well as a blush brush for this look!).
Finally, time for the best part of the look (in my eyes)... Lipstick :*
The lipstick I used was the Rimmel London "Kate Moss" lipstick in shade 03. This is my second favourite shade in the Kate collection as it's very wearable and suits almost everyone! I'll be doing a review of all my Kate lipsticks later on this week. Once again, if lipstick is too much, stick with clear or tinted lip balm!
Aaaand here's the finished look!
I didn't fill in my eyebrows purely because they're naturally thick, but you can lightly fill yours in if you'd like:)
