Yummy DIY Lip Scrub

Being in need of a lip scrub for a while now, I decided to make my own. It's cheap, affordable and works - so hey, I thought I'd share it with you.

You will need:

  • A lip balm - I used the Born Lippy Lip Balm Pot in Passionberry. You can use any pot of lip balm you'd like, but I liked this one because it has a thick consistency and tastes amazing.
  • Sugar (1/2 tsp)

Superdrug Purifying Face Mask Review - do not buy this product

This mask is a Superdrug made face mask that claims to remove all impurities and excess oils from your face - your standard mud mask, basically. It contains Witch Hazel and Salicylic Acid which both target spots, so naturally I was drawn to it. Having used the Superdrug sachets of masks and had nothing but good results, I decided to buy a bottle of the stuff. What could go wrong, right? Everything. Everything went wrong. I can hands down say that this is the most disappointed I've ever been in any product, and you're about to see why.

Beauty Haul + Free £10 off voucher!

Hey there, long time no post! I already feel awful but I'm afraid school comes first. Anyway, this post is a haul post (yes, another one, but my hauls are quite tiny compared to some so heyhey). Last Saturday (cringing at how long ago that was) I went shopping with my lovely friend Kathryn with the intention of picking up this coconut hair oil type product from the body shop. My Mum used to put it in my hair as a kid, and so when I asked my Mum where it was from, she told me where and off I was! The hunt for the hair oil begun, and I found it...

My Trip to Keble College/Oxford University

Last Wednesday, myself and 19 other students got to visit Keble College - a college campus part of Oxford University. There are (I believe) 38 different colleges within the uni itself. We visited Keble as its our maths teacher's work place. The trip was only £10 and was such a fun experience! On our trip, we got to visit the Natural History Museum. I could talk all day about what we did, but as a wise man once said...A picture is worth a thousand words.
Side note - these pictures were taken by my good friend Beth, she has kindly allowed me to use all of these so mini shout out to her for being an awesome friend. Woooo!

Baby Fish Update - They're alive and kicking!

Currently, there are four babies alive and swimming around. We know for a fact that three of them will live but there's one tiny one that hasn't grown much and only swims around the bottom. He always rests on the rocks and seems to lean on one side a lot, so we think he might have some sort of swimming disability or broken bones or something. There may be hope for him yet though :) The other three swim around, chase each other, scavenge food and come up to the glass to say hi all of the time now! They still look tiny, but they've grown a heck of a lot considering the size they were when we first found out they were in the tank. Here's a video I took about two weeks ago of them:

I Woke Up Like This Wednesday #6

Hey guys! Sadly, this post will be the last of this little blogging series - it's been fun though. For the final post, it'll be a tutorial on sock curling. Now, for this particular tutorial I used very thick socks because I wanted to demonstrate how you can vary the types of curls you get if you were to use thick socks over small ones (which would give the same sort of curl as using rags). If you use thicker socks, you'll end up with a loose curl/wave in your hair that's really quite flattering. I'd suggest using slightly thinner socks if you have short hair to make sure your hair has actual curls or waves in it by the end of it. Here's what you'll need:
