December Favourites

Heeeey guys. I'm practicallly 1/3 of a month late for this post, and have - unless I post tomorrow (which I plan on doing) - broken a new year's resolution. If you read my post about the New Year, I said I'd be posting twice a week. You'd think that's easy... Wrong. I had my first real exam guys; I was notified of this exam two days before I took it. Way to go, Secondary School. Way to go

ANYWAY, I didn't have a lot of favourites for this month purely because the good stuff came at Christmas, and I didn't want to include a lot of stuff from Christmas because I felt I'd need a whole month to actually use everything and come to a fair judgement on what are my most favourite favourites. You get what I'm saying, right? No? Ah, shuck it (The Maze Runner quoting right there). Let's get down to business.

Yankee Candles - Christmas Baking & Christmas Cookie
For some reason I can't find any images of Christmas Baking online, but I used up that votive candle so I can't photograph it. That one I purchased before Christmas so that we could burn it in the house and get into the Christmas spirit - boy, did it work! It smelt like ginger and cinnamon and like the best warm spices you could imagine. It also smelt quite sweet, but not sickly. I soon used it all up!

Christmas Cookie was a gift from my Nan at Christmas time. It is a small jar which is preferable for me because I rarely have time to just sit in the same room as a candle and let it pool for 6-8 hours. I'm very wary of candles, so I don't leave the room for more than a few minutes when they're burning. When I do walk into the room though this candle smells so damn sweet and warm. It smells just like warm cookies! The smell permeates the room in minutes and lingers for a couple of hours after the flame has been extinguished. I.Love.It.

Beats Solo Headphones (Matte Black)
Again, a Christmas present of the Nan. These headphones have been perfect for my studying and for doing my pilates workouts. I'm one of those people who would rather revise with music down my ears than in silence, and because I've had no headphones for so long they've been so so perfect. Plus, they're black. And matte. Matte black is just gorgeous in my opinion!!

Angel by Thierry Mulger
Off of Nan, once again. This perfume is the most beautiful scent I've ever smelt in my life. It's currently my favourite perfume and I am nooooooot good at describing perfume smells... It smells like literal angels. Like clouds and heaven and angels, guys. That is all I can describe it as. It came in a set with a 100ml body lotion and a Thierry Mulger Angel Bag (by the way, this bottle was 25ml). I wish I could review this one but it's just too beautiful to describe properly.

No7 Nail Polish - Temptress & Silver Glitter
These came in a set of five polishes, two opaque, three glitter. These two are by far my favourite. I love the name of the purple/burgundy polish - Temptress. It really stands out against my pale skin, and the Silver Glitter compliments it. I usually apply the silver to my ring finger only, over Temptress. They look beautiful together. Temptress needs a minimum of two coats in my opinion, though three is preferable. Definitely my favourite polish out of the two, but paired together... Well, they're an unstoppable force of nail magic.

Sempiternal - Bring Me The Horizon
This album isn't a new discovery for me - I've loved it since I heard it over a year ago. However... I've recently been playing it practically on repeat. The guitars and drums are so powerful in each song, it's my go-to album. I think my favourite songs are Hospital For Souls and And The Snakes Start To Sing. Very different from their other albums, but if I'm honest, I feel like they screamed too much back then for my taste in music. Still, well done BMTH!

I swear I'm the very last person to write this post. Anyway, hope you're all having a lovely new year and are back into the swing of things with school or work or whatever it is you do with your time!
